Captain Whiskybeard

Present time

This Captain loves to sail the seas with a full hold of Whisky onboard. He and his crew have to stop for repairs all the time, as they always manage to hit something during one of their missions.

Origin story

Whiskybeard wasn’t always known as a drunkard; he was once the fantastic Captain Beard. He was known for many successful missions for the pirate armada, mostly hunting monsters in the sea, collecting treasure and robbing cargo. One day, the proud Captain was chasing a mysterious monster in Scottish waters told of only in legend. After many nights, they finally heard a resonating sound coming from the waters. A shape appeared in the distance, with a head like a giant snake. The crew wasted no time and shot their first harpoon towards the creature. It got angry as it rushed closer towards the ship. With a strong net, the crew managed to subdue it. Just as they were about to reel their capture in, a slightly bigger monster appeared at the other side of the ship. The creature wrapped itself around the hull and crushed it. The crew and Captain abandoned ship as they witnessed their prized vessel forever sinking to the bottom of the sea. After this event Captain Beard went mad, chasing the legendary creatures now known as Nessie and Lily, losing ship after ship. The Captain developed a refined taste for Whisky and after losing his tenth vessel and crew to the creatures, gave up the hunt.

Recruitment into the Bad Samaritans

The Captain lost yet another one of his ships, scarce for financing he retreated into a local pub thinking over his next big move. The table next to him, a strange group of four was talking about an unusual contest they had just finished. Captain Whiskybeard was intrigued, offered the table some drinks and became the next Bad Samaritan.

Ability

EVERY card played related to eating, drinking or drugs in any way lets you draw a card.

Tip: Make sure to argue your case if the others don’t agree, the rest might agree eventually. Shouting usually helps in arguments, especially when you’ve had a few drinks. If it takes a while to convince everyone, put it to a vote, if you’re an even number of people make sure to raise two hands when you vote, this way your vote counts as two.

Meet the makers

It all started when Gils decided to create a superhero based card game. The idea was to have a game based on scenarios (problems) and having superpowers in your hand that you would need to solve them. With his very twisted brain, Gils quickly created cards that didn`t fit in a game of heroes. It was soon decided that this was not a game of justice but a game of injustice!

Vincent joined the team because of his many years of experience as an illustrator and graphic designer. The two cousins decided to catch up, and when Vincent played the game, he was hooked and couldn’t resist drawing such an artistic game.
